LNER Class J35, 0-6-0 Freight Loco | |||||||||||||
PROTOTYPE. The North British Railway built 76 locomotives of this class between 1906 and 1913 to satisfy the requirement for a more powerful 0-6-0 for heavy freight work. From 1923 the LNER started to fit superheaters and this alternative is provided for in the kit. |

70 locomotives passed into BR ownership and the last member of the class was withdrawn in 1962. They worked throughout the NBR network on heavy freight and in summertime were also used on main line passenger work. KIT. The body and tender is mainly brass with a nickel silver chassis. A nice level of detail including backhead is provided. There is a good representation of valve gear and motion between the frames. |
